Snow/Ice

This week we had so much fun exploring with snow and ice! The kids made ice cubes melt by using salt and food coloring.  We also made a snowstorm in a water bottle using cooking oil and glitter. Take a peek at our pictures!

Winter Animals

This week we had fun learning all about winter animals.  We learned that winter animals have a lot of fur and blubber to keep the warm. At circle time we tried an experiment using Crisco, baggies and cold water.  Each child took turns feeling the cold water first, then they put there hands in between 2 baggies of Crisco to represent the blubber. They were all so amazed that  they couldn't feel the cold water on their hands. Take a look at all of the fun we have in our class!
